The Ethics function supports ethical practice, research integrity, professional standards, accountability and responsible decision-making across UKCTAG’s work.
DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP

Head of Ethics Department — responsible for ethical oversight, integrity and professional standards.
As UKCTAG develops its research, training, content and professional activity, ethical oversight is intended to sit alongside those functions rather than being treated as an afterthought.
The Ethics function supports responsible practice across research, information handling, conflicts of interest, professional conduct, safeguarding and organisational decision-making.

The function is intended to provide constructive challenge where ethical, research-integrity, professional-standard or compliance questions arise. That independence helps protect the credibility of UKCTAG’s wider work.
